Content Policy

Dissidence is built for open discussion and community. To keep the Platform safe and welcoming, all users must follow these rules.
Prohibited Content
The following content is not allowed anywhere on Dissidence:
- Illegal content: Content that violates applicable law
- CSAM: Any sexual content involving minors - zero tolerance
- Harassment: Targeted harassment, doxxing, or threats of violence
- Hate speech: Content promoting violence or discrimination against protected groups
- Non-consensual intimate media: Sharing intimate images without consent
- Spam and manipulation: Vote manipulation, brigading, or coordinated inauthentic behavior
- Impersonation: Pretending to be another person or organization to deceive
- Malware: Distributing malicious software or links
NSFW Content
Adult content is allowed in communities that explicitly permit it, provided it is:
- Properly tagged as NSFW
- Legal and consensual
- Not visible in public feeds without user opt-in
Community Rules
Individual communities may set additional rules. Community moderators enforce their own rules alongside these platform-wide policies. If a community rule conflicts with this policy, the platform policy takes precedence.
Enforcement
Violations may result in:
- Content removal
- Warnings or strikes on your account
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent ban
- Reporting to law enforcement where required
Reporting
If you see content that violates this policy, use the Report button on any post, comment, or user profile. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. You can also contact us at safety@dissidence.net.
Appeals
If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you can appeal through your account settings or by contacting appeals@dissidence.net.
